Celebrating 100 years
The Regina Pats, the oldest major junior hockey franchise in Canada, is celebrating its centennial season in 2017-18 and in recognition of that, the organization planned a “Homecoming Weekend,” in Regina. Spark was fortunate to be involved in two of the major activities during the weekend. The first was the Pats Community Foundation Honours Dinner and Auction, an event that included high ranking military and NHL alumni coming together to honour the rich history between the military and the Regina Pats. The second event was the All-Star Celebrity Classic at the Brandt Events Centre in Regina. Over 40 NHL and WHL alumni took part in a special game that pitted Team Saskatchewan against Team West.
